These crispy air fryer honey garlic salmon bites are quick, easy, and perfect for snacks or light meals. They feature a sticky-sweet glaze and a crunchy coating, ready in under 20 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound fresh skinless salmon filet, cut into 1-inch chunks
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce (low sodium preferred)
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil or avocado oil
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch or arrowroot powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional garnish: toasted sesame seeds and chopped green onions

Instructions

  1. Rinse and pat dry the salmon filet. Cut into roughly 1-inch chunks, aiming for uniform size.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and olive oil to make the glaze. Set aside.
  3. Place salmon chunks in a separate bowl, season with salt and pepper, then sprinkle cornstarch over them. Toss gently to coat evenly.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 minutes.
  5. Arrange the coated salmon chunks in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 8-10 minutes, shaking or turning halfway through, until golden and crispy outside but tender inside.
  6. Transfer cooked salmon bites to a bowl. Pour the honey garlic glaze over them and toss gently to coat while still hot.
  7. Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and chopped green onions if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use firm salmon chunks for best texture. Pat salmon dry before coating to avoid sogginess. Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket; cook in batches if needed. If bites feel wet after glazing, air fry for 1-2 minutes to firm up coating. Glaze can be made ahead and stored in fridge for up to 3 days.
