Crispy Candy Corn Popcorn Bark: 3-Ingredient Easy Treat

Crispy Candy Corn Popcorn Bark - featured image

A nostalgic, easy-to-make Halloween treat combining popped popcorn, white chocolate, and candy corn for a sweet, crunchy, and colorful bark.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 10–12 cups popped popcorn (mix of kettle corn and plain buttered)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 12 ounces (about 2 cups) white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup white candy melts (optional)
  • 1 cup candy corn, roughly chopped
  • Orange and yellow gel food coloring
  • Flaky sea salt or pink salt

Instructions

  1. Pop the popcorn and toss with a tiny bit of melted butter if air-popped. Remove unpopped kernels and spread on a baking sheet to cool completely.
  2. Place white chocolate chips and butter in a large microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on 50% power in 30-second intervals, stirring vigorously after each interval until smooth and glossy.
  3. Divide the melted chocolate into three bowls. Keep one plain. Add yellow gel food coloring to the second bowl and orange gel food coloring to the third. Thin with a teaspoon of coconut oil or shortening if necessary to achieve a drizzle-able consistency.
  4. Return cooled popcorn to a large mixing bowl. Pour the plain white chocolate over the popcorn and gently fold with a silicone spatula until evenly coated.
  5. Sprinkle chopped candy corn over the chocolate-coated popcorn and gently fold again to adhere.
  6. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Pour the mixture onto the sheet and spread into an even layer about half an inch thick. Drizzle with remaining colored chocolate if desired.
  7. Refrigerate for 30-45 minutes until the chocolate is hard to the touch.
  8. Remove from refrigerator, sprinkle with flaky sea salt, and break into irregular pieces by hand.
  9. Serve at room temperature or store in an airtight container.

Notes

Ensure popcorn is completely cool before adding chocolate to prevent melting. Use gel food coloring instead of liquid to avoid seizing the chocolate. If chocolate thickens, add a small amount of coconut oil or shortening. For dairy-free options, swap butter and chocolate for dairy-free alternatives, though texture may be softer.
