Crispy Witch Finger Pretzel Sticks: Easy Halloween Treat

Crispy Witch Finger Pretzel Sticks - featured image

A fun and spooky Halloween snack featuring salty pretzel rods dipped in white chocolate and topped with almond slivers to resemble witch fingers with bloody nails.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 24–30 pretzel rods
  • 2 cups high-quality white chocolate chips
  • 24–30 almond slivers
  • Red gel food coloring
  • 1 teaspoon butter (optional, for smoother coating)

Instructions

  1. Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper and trim almond slivers if necessary.
  2. Melt white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals on medium power, stirring thoroughly between intervals until smooth. Add butter if needed to thin.
  3. Dip three-quarters of each pretzel rod into the melted chocolate, letting excess drip off, and place on the prepared baking sheets.
  4. While the chocolate is still wet, press an almond sliver onto the end of each pretzel to create the fingernail.
  5. Dip a toothpick into red gel food coloring and dab it at the base of the almond nail to create a ‘blood’ effect.
  6. Refrigerate for 15-30 minutes or until the chocolate is completely hard.

Notes

Use gel food coloring to prevent seizing the chocolate. Ensure the kitchen is cool to help the chocolate set faster. For nut-free versions, substitute almonds with red M&Ms or licorice. For gluten-free, use certified GF pretzel rods.
