This Easy Copycat Starbucks Pumpkin Cream Cold Foam recipe tastes exactly like the real thing—maybe even better. You can make it at home in under five minutes with simple ingredients you probably already have in your fridge.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons canned pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • ½ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee or espresso
  • Ice cubes
  • Optional: milk or cream for coffee base

Instructions

  1. Dry the pumpkin puree: Spoon 2 tablespoons of pumpkin puree onto a paper towel. Fold the towel over and press gently to absorb excess moisture. Let it sit for about 30 seconds.
  2. Combine the cold foam ingredients: In a small bowl or large measuring cup, add the heavy cream, whole milk, dried pumpkin puree, maple syrup, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla extract. Make sure your cream and milk are cold.
  3. Froth until thick and creamy: Using your milk frother, blend the mixture for about 30 to 45 seconds until thick and pourable, like melted ice cream. Do not over-froth.
  4. Prepare your coffee: Fill your glass with ice cubes. Pour 1 cup of strong brewed coffee or espresso over the ice. If desired, add a splash of milk.
  5. Pour the cold foam over the coffee: Using a spoon, gently pour the pumpkin cream cold foam over the back of the spoon onto the coffee to help it float.
  6. Finish with a sprinkle of spice: Dust the top with a pinch of pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon.
  7. Serve immediately.

Notes

Cold ingredients are crucial for proper foaming. Don’t over-froth or you’ll end up with butter. Pat the pumpkin puree dry to avoid watery foam. Pour foam over the back of a spoon to keep it floating. Clean your frother immediately after use. This recipe is best enjoyed fresh within 5 minutes.
