A stress-free, no-cook charcuterie board designed for two people, featuring a balance of salty meats, sharp cheeses, sweet fruits, and crunchy crackers for an intimate date night experience.

Ingredients

  • Prosciutto or Salami (thinly sliced)
  • Sharp Cheddar Cheese (cut into cubes or slices)
  • Brie or Cream Cheese (soft cheese)
  • Crackers (water crackers, seeded, or whole wheat)
  • Pretzel Pieces (small bites or broken rods)
  • Fresh Berries or Grapes (blueberries, raspberries, or green grapes)
  • Dried Fruit (apricots or figs)
  • Nuts (walnuts or almonds, toasted)
  • Honey or Fig Jam (for drizzling)
  • Fresh Herbs (rosemary or thyme for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Prep your surface by cleaning and drying a wooden board or platter.
  2. Place small bowls for loose items like nuts, olives, or jam at different points on the board to anchor the design.
  3. Cut hard cheese into cubes or slices and place them strategically around the board, leaving space for other items.
  4. If using Brie, leave it whole or cut into wedges; arrange soft cheese in a separate spot.
  5. Fold or roll prosciutto or salami into loose rosettes or nests to create volume and place next to cheeses.
  6. Lean crackers against each other, fan them out, or stack them to add height and texture.
  7. Scatter fresh berries, grapes, and dried fruit around empty spaces, adding nuts in small clusters for a natural look.
  8. Just before serving, drizzle honey over cheese and fruit, and garnish with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

Let cheese come to room temperature 30 minutes before serving for best flavor. Avoid overcrowding the board; leave negative space. Assemble fresh fruits and drizzle honey right before serving to maintain freshness. Meats and cheeses can be stored for 2-3 days, but fresh fruits should be eaten within 24 hours.
